The Most Important Stranger
Can you believe that someone you never even met yet will impact your life like no other past or present can? That there is a stranger right now out there in the world who will one day be the reason for those idiotic smiles whenever you think of them, your heart suddenly skipping a beat, your breath being taken away, and those sleepless nights when all you want to do is talk to them no matter how tired you are.
Someone that you have never talked to before will one day be the person you will want to talk constantly too. Someone that you may have never seen before will be the person that you will one day want to see constantly just so you can look deep into their eyes. Someone that you have never spent one second with before will one day be the person you will want to spend forever with.
There is a stranger somewhere out there; the most important stranger that you have yet to meet. This stranger will one day be your everything. Your soulmate. The one you will intrust your heart too. The one you that you won’t believe you ever lived without. Whether you believe in destiny or coincidence, this most important stranger is the one the you end up falling helplessly in love for.
sitting on a bus. a very crowded bus. sitting at the back by the window. not exactly know where to go. just enjoying the scenery out the window. with the sunglasses on. some good music in the earphone. set in a high volume. not giving any shit about the crowd around. ignoring all the noises. just a happy thought and a happy feeling. taking a break. getting away. from everything. from people. from work. from taking care of too much shits. from any worry. from thinking too much. from feeling too much. from caring about any shit. just being alone. thoughtless. heartless. careless. ignorant.
sounds like a picture perfect at this moment.

Spotted, a table of seven was reserved that night. Located in one of the hippest restaurant in Jakarta there were 7 ladies sat on that reserved table. They knew each other for quite a long time. Long enough that every month they have this urge to meet each other just to catch some shits up. Long enough that they can utter everything they come up with in their mind about each other. There were compliments, mocks, advices, tips, and of course some gossips.
Nothing much special about the rendezvous that night. They were just enjoying the ambience of the open-air restaurant on the top of a building somewhere in Sudirman, ordered some drinks and meals. The table around them could hear their laughs clearly. They sounded very happy, very stress-free. Well that is exactly how they always feel whenever and wherever they have a rendezvous.
And as the night got darker, things got more intense. Without any meaning to judge each other they were sharing thoughts about one of the lady’s issue, a pretty complicated one. They weren’t telling her that she did wrong, they were just reminding her that she deserved to be happy and that she always have choices.
Long short story, they decided to end the argument for it might take the whole night with no conclusion nor solution. Even after such argument they still laugh about many things to end the rendezvous. In the end, they just love each other, and that is why they had such argument that night.
A little highlight from their conversation that night…

“Why bother caring so much about him if he doesn’t give a shit about you. If he wants you back he has to fight for it. Words are not enough”

“Stop staying in the office until midnight. Get a life! Get a new job, to be precise”
“Once in a while, you have to push yourself into a heartless bitch and just block everything about him from your life. It sucks, I know. But it works for the better of everybody”

“Sweetie, you deserve to be happy”
If any of you happens to know these ladies or see or hear them in a rendezvous then perhaps you know which words come out from whose mouth.

Seenggaknya pasti ada satu dua kalimat di atas yang pernah keucap kan? Yahh namanya juga kerja pasti capek, menyita waktu dan pikiran. Tapi gak lucu juga kalo gara-gara kerjaan terus jadi gak punya kehidupan. Nah kira-kira supaya bisa tetap punya kehidupan, mungkin paragraf-paragraf berikut bisa berguna. Kalo gak, yaa namanya juga usaha.
Mulai lah pagi hari di kantor dengan tidak langsung kerja. Sarapan dulu, browsing ini itu, ngopi pagi di kantor, ngerokok, rumpi dikit juga boleh, siapin playlist buat kerja sehari itu, main game, dan lain-lain dan seterusnya. *tapi yaa jangan kelamaan juga sih*
Setiap makan siang, keluar lah dari ruang kantor! Ganti suasana itu perlu, hirup udara Jakarta yang berpolusi juga gakpapa daripada hirup hawa kantor seharian. Dan jangan pernah makan siang sambil ngerjain kerjaan apa pun. Seberapa pun banyaknya kerjaan, sebawel apa pun bu boss dan pak boss nagih kerjaan ini itu, semuanya harus distop pas makan siang.
Bagi perokok, sekali dua kali keluar untuk ngerokok juga penting! Yaa asal tau diri juga sih, jangan setiap 15 menit sekali keluar ngerokok, kapan kerjanya kalo gitu.
Oia, solat juga penting, bagi yang menjalankan, jadi jangan ditinggalin cuma karena kerjaan yang numpuk. *bukannya sok relijius, bukan sok ngajarin, tapi yaa gitu deh*
Sambil kerja sambil browsing ini itu juga perlu. Tinggal diasah aja kemampuan untuk ganti page secepat kilat kalo tau-tau ternyata bu boss atau pak boss muncul di belakang.
Kalo bukan fasilitas dari kantor, ada baiknya email kantor gak perlu di-sync di smartphone. Hati-hati, itu jebakan betmen!
Seberapa pun capeknya kerja hari itu, kalo emang pingin kelayapan, ya kelayapan aja. Refreshing itu perlu. Jangan sampe waktu kelayapan terganggu oleh kerja. #eh
Perlu ada pemisahan antara hidup di kantor dan di luar kantor. Kayak ada baiknya gak perlu berteman di dunia maya dengan orang-orang kantor. Bukannya jadi kepribadian ganda, tapi emang perlu dipisahin antara kantor dan luar kantor.
Kalo orang-orang di kantor gak punya kehidupan, biarin aja. Pokoknya kita harus tetep punya kehidupan.
Habiskan jatah cuti setahun. Buat apa juga disimpen-simpen. Gak ada akumulasi cuti, gak bisa diuangin juga. Jadi, mari kita cuti!
Bolos sekali-sekali juga perlu. Bilang aja demam, atau maslah pencernaan, atau apa pun lah bisa dijadiin alasan. Menyenangkan aja pas di hari kerja bisa bangun siang dan bengong aja di depan TV. Yaa atau jalan-jalan kemana kek.
Gak usah peduliin semua email, sms, telepon, atau apa pun itu yang berbau-bau kerjaan yang masuk pas weekend atau pas lagi liburan. You need a break! Pernah ada kolega yang protes “Iya, mbak sih kemarin saya telepon untuk follow up gak diangkat”, ini bisa dengan mudah ditanggapi “Oo kemarin kan hari Minggu, mbak. Saya sih kalo hari Minggu libur”.
Anggap aja kerja itu penunjang kegiatan senang-senang. Dengan kerja, makanya kita terima penghasilan. Penghasilan ini terus dipake buat seneng-seneng nikmatin hidup. Jadi mau gimana juga emang harus kerja dengan baik supaya gajinya naik terus jadi modal seneng-seneng makin besar. Sambil jangan lupa nabung juga.
Kesannya kok kayak sebel banget sama yang namanya kerja dan kantor? Jangan sedih, saya sangat menyukai pekerjaan saya sekarang. Lingkungan kerja yang menyenangkan, pak boss dan bu boss yang luar biasa, penghasilan yang cukup *walopun gak nolak kalau dikasih lebih*, ilmu yang banyak, networking yang luas, jam kerja yang cukup fleksibel, dan lain lain dan seterusnya dan kawan-kawan. Bukan, ini bukan semacam komplen atau caci maki terselubung untuk kantor atau kerjaan. Semua kerjaan yang ada dikerjakan dengan ikhlas dan sepenuh hati.
Jadi, bekerja lah dengan hati. Oh, dan jangan lupa bersyukur. *ok, saat mulai sok bijak saatnya juga tulisan ini selesai*
Tapi, punya kehidupan juga penting. Begitulah..
